Ji Tech is seeking a sharp and motivated Automated Software Test Engineer for a long-term project at the US Census Bureau Suitland, MD. This position is for exciting projects that offer implementing newer technologies, implementing industry standard processes with the opportunity to grow. The candidate should have strong technical and must be a good team player.

As the Software Test Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for the development of Quality Assurance artifacts, test execution, test closure and the adherence to testing policies and procedures such as test scenarios, test plans and test results.  The candidate should have strong experience leading software testing efforts.   Candidate will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our defect tracking system. 

Specifically, the responsibilities are as follows, but not limited:

• Interact with client and development teams on a regular basis to obtain requirement and design details
• Review QA artifacts produced by the team to drive the quality of deliverables
• Provide regular progress reports, status and metrics to management
• Work with development team to create thorough and organized documentation for test cases by clearly articulating test objectives, steps, and expected results
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and the collection of measures put in place to ensure consistency and improvement in testing software
• Adhere to defined testing policies and procedures
• Participate in project planning and design discussions
• Analyze and translate requirements and development stories into test scripts
• Work with standard test automation methodologies and direct scripting and coding in HP UFT such as Linear Scripting and Structured Scripting
• Design and implement Test Automation Framework using various frameworks such as Data Driven, Table Driven, Keyword Driven or Hybrid.
• Experience in descriptive programming and automating applications even if actual application is not available.
• Plan, develop and execute performance testing for various efforts. 
• Overall the position requires familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. It also relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
• The position requires at least 2 years of automation testing experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). 
• The candidate should have good communication, be detailed oriented and quick to learn. The candidate must be able to perform a variety of tasks and have a wide degree of creativity and latitude.

Requirements:

• 2 years’ experience with HP ALM 11
• 2 years’ experience writing and executing scripts
• 2 years’ experience testing system performance\
• 2 years’ experience with Service Layer/ API Testing
• 2 years’ knowledge of the Software Engineering and Quality Assurance discipline
• 2 years’ experience with, JAVA, Web Services and Oracle ADF
• 2 years’ experience with SQL/PL/SQL – ability to develop medium to complex queries
• 2years experience working within an Agile Methodology
• Strong problem-solving skills, independent thinking
• Strong teamwork and partnering skills for cross-group collaboration
• Strong verbal and written communications skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Hands-on experience with the latest QA technologies related to their feature set or domain
• Associate degree in IT, or related technical field
